Ariaf Design House.. 100 Top Designers Under One Roof

A new hub for interior design opened its doors this week to gather Egypt's top design talents under one roof.
The showroom titled Ariaf is the first of its kind to be established in Egypt. Spanning over three levels, the showroom offers a wide variety of design products from famous local names.
The hub aims at helping Egyptian designers and manufacturers raise the slogan "designed and made in Egypt" adding value to the nation wide direction of supporting local production.The hub is a continuation of the Ariaf nameplate that has been in business since 1999 under the direction and master mind Hossam Seif El Nasr, and although he has seen a great success over the years El Nasr still thinks "its all because of this great team that I work with".

As the name suggests the company has been established around the idea of country style design and decoration, choosing the Egyptian version of the name though does not mean that you'll only see local interpretations, you can expect to see a variety of country style furniture and other pieces of decor from around the globe. The three levels of the showroom include an area for furniture, outdoor set up area, home accessories and a level dedicated for glassware and textiles.

Do Not Touch

When you walk into the design house you may confuse it for a standard furniture showroom, but that will quickly change when you know that each item is unique, and only a limited number of items that are displayed on location will ever be made to look exactly alike. Ariaf starts the design process early on, they help clients not only furnish but also they help with the initial setup of their home weather that being their first or second one. Each piece is made to order and is completely customized according to the client's preference. Some of the items are extremely unique you can't even touch them.

Yes you read that right, what does it mean? It means Karakeeb, but in Lebanese, or so I was told by the lovely team. This area of the hub is meant for all the little random things that makes decor a lot more interesting than it actually is. All of which are made with a local flavor, some with fruits flavor! Like these delicious candles.. No.. These aren't real fruits!

Each item has a story, some of them even serve a bigger cause like some "Limited Edition" cushions from which revenues go to support the education of kids in one of Cairo's unprivileged areas, in 7antaree2 you can even get your hands on some organic soap!
